The recent 2021-22 Budget revealed that of the 148 recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, most would be implemented. The Government also announced $17.7 billion would be spent to carry out significant aged care reform over the next five years.
Michael Donnelly, Head of Aged & Disability at Telstra Health, has been following the announcements closely.
“This is an exciting and challenging time for aged care providers and I’m acutely aware they will need supportive electronic systems to meet the incoming changes,” said Michael. “Workforce challenges and greater reporting requirements will drive the need for holistic solutions that automate functions and reduce data entry.”
