Anywhere Healthcare

Specialist care in regional communities without leaving town

Anywhere Healthcare provides sites such as GP clinics, residential aged care facilities, Aboriginal Health Services, hospitals and rural and remote communities access to a panel of credentialed clinicians across a range of specialties online via telehealth.

For GPs

Living in a rural area often means it’s difficult for your patients to see a specialist. They may have to wait months for an appointment and then have to travel a long way to see them.

Anywhere Healthcare brings the specialist to your patient via a virtual clinic in your clinic.

Once registered, you can refer your patient to an Anywhere Healthcare specialist as you would any other face to face specialist. There is no cost to you as the provider. The patient may have no, or a small out of pocket expense dependent on their eligibility.

All you need is a private room, such as a consultation room, with a computer or tablet with a broadband internet connection, webcam and speakers. Our clinical operations team will assist you to set up your room, and will coordinate and support the consultations, both for you and your patient.

How it works

Call Anywhere Healthcare on 1800 822 940 to register.

Step 2

For Aged Care

Accessing specialist care can be difficult. Long wait times, the burden of travel and extra costs can significantly impact health outcomes for the elderly.

Anywhere Healthcare brings the specialist to your resident via a virtual clinic in your facility.

Consultations can be conducted at the resident’s bedside using a laptop or tablet - saving your staff, the resident and their family the time and stress associated with moving from their place of care. There is no cost to you as the provider, or to the resident.

Our clinical operations team will assist you to set up your equipment, and will coordinate and support the consultations, both for you and your resident.

What GPs say about Anywhere Healthcare...

"My patients can see a specialist with relatively short waiting periods. They do not have to travel far; they simply go to their local GP clinic. Sitting in with the patient gives me the opportunity to listen to what the specialist says to the patient and I can hear first-hand what the specialist advises and I am able to instigate the plan to support the patient."

Dr Anuke Warakaulle, Maryborough Clinic, Maryborough, Qld

"My patients now have convenient and immediate access to specialist services. I put all of the Anywhere Healthcare specialists into Medical Director and simply refer a patient to a specialist as per my normal referral process. My front desk staff then co-ordinate the appointment online or by phone. In some cases my patients have been able to access appointments on the same day of referral."

Dr Jane Zimmerman, Anne Street Medical Services, Tasmania

"A choice of specialists within most disciplines means that I can choose a specialist that I feel is best suited to the needs of my patients. With Anywhere Healthcare it’s as if I have my own team of specialists working out of my practice."

Dr Sofia Bernadi, Main St Medical Centre, Hervey Bay, Qld
