“We love using eRx. It’s great when those barcodes come through; scanning them makes dispensing so much easier. eRx helps improves patient safety by reducing transcription errors which is important to us.”

Alex Keipert, Pharmacy Owner, Mudgee NSW

eRx works in 5 simple steps:

  1. Doctors prescribe medication and print scripts with an eRx barcode.
  2. Patients take scripts to the participating pharmacy of their choosing.
  3. Pharmacists scan eRx barcodes to automatically download information.
  4. Patients receive their prescribed medication.
  5. Doctors’ clinical records are updated to reflect that a script has been filled.
