Get to know the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health network for International Women’s Day

Thursday, 4 March 2021, 6.00 - 7.00pm (AEDT)

Join us as we host a virtual networking opportunity, aligned with the upcoming International Women's Day theme of #ChoosetoChallenge.

We invite you to attend this session to meet others in the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health network and participate in an interactive discussion about what this theme means in the context of digital health.

Telstra Health Managing Director Mary Foley AM will introduce the discussion with some comments on current opportunities and challenges in digital health, how we can all continue learning, and the role mentors can play in progressing women in digital health and empowering others to learn. We will then split you into virtual rooms at random and ask you to discuss the following as a group, before sharing back with all participants:

  • What does #ChoosetoChallenge mean to you in the context of digital health?
  • How do you challenge yourself to learn new things? What is in an example of this, especially in relation to digital health?
  • How do you empower others to learn and be challenged?
  • Do you have a key mentor in your professional development?

Our vision for the network is to bring together a community of likeminded individuals, both women and men, who work in or have an interest in digital health, and for them to share ideas, create new connections, inspire opportunities and celebrate the successes and outstanding activity of women in the sector.

By delivering regular events (virtual and in-person) with inspiring world-class digital health speakers, we aim to educate the broader community about the opportunities of digital in health and aged care, as well as explore the challenges women may face and how to be advocates for change.
