Getting to know the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health network for International Women’s Day

Thursday, 4 March 2021, 6.00 - 7.00pm (AEDT)

On Thursday 4 March, we hosted the first virtual networking opportunity for the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health network, with the aim to bring members together for International Women’s Day and focus on the 2021 theme of #ChoosetoChallenge.

The discussion centred on the challenges that exist in digital health, the opportunities to learn and create change, and how to support and inspire each other along the way. Telstra Health Managing Director Professor Mary Foley AM introduced the session with insights based on her career, including the role of mentors in progressing women.

For those that were able to make the session (see a photo of some of the group below), thank you for participating and we hope you enjoyed the experience! We intend to create more virtual networking opportunities for the #BCWinDH throughout 2021.

Our vision for the network is to bring together a community of likeminded individuals, both women and men, who work in or have an interest in digital health, and for them to share ideas, create new connections, inspire opportunities and celebrate the successes and outstanding activity of women in the sector.

By delivering regular events (virtual and in-person) with inspiring world-class digital health speakers, we aim to educate the broader community about the opportunities of digital in health and aged care, as well as explore the challenges women may face and how to be advocates for change.
