Australian Unity has selected Telstra Health as their digital health solution partner for their residential aged care business.
Work has begun to implement some of Telstra Health’s aged care software offerings – Clinical Manager, CareKeeper, Resident Manager, Message Manager, and Data Warehouse – within Australian Unity’s Victorian Kilsyth and Albert Park facilities.
Telstra Health’s residential aged care solutions will deliver clinical and care management, funding management, leave management, in-depth reporting, and family communication capabilities to over 215 aged care beds and 60 assisted living apartments via Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform.
The Australian Unity team commented that they were particularly looking forward to utilising Telstra Health’s award-winning CareKeeper app, a mobile application that enables care staff to view and document care tasks while at the resident’s side.
Telstra Health’s residential aged care software is a market leader in use across more than 60,000 residential aged care beds. With expertise in not only the Australian aged care sector, but in hospitals, primary and community health, pharmacies and virtual care; Telstra Health is dedicated to realising a connected and improved digital health experience for all.
Telstra Health’s Head of Aged Care, Michael Donnelly, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Australian Unity into the Telstra Health family. Our team is looking forward to providing the highest level of service to support their aged care staff and residents.”
Australian Unity’s Group Executive – Specialist Care, David Lumb, commented, “Australian Unity are delighted to be partnering with Telstra Health to support significant enhancements to our patient management systems across our new Victorian Residential Aged Care homes, The Alba at Albert Park and Walmsley at Kilsyth.”
“Leveraging Telstra Health’s industry-leading technology and capable experience, we’re pleased that the new functionality will allow our people to easily access patient care information and therefore spend less time completing administrative tasks and data entry and more time caring for our residents”, said Mr Lumb.
